Welcome to PS3 Themes. This website aims to give you the best experience when it comes to PlayStation 3 themes. Therefore, we have provided an online preview tool so you can see your theme in action before downloading them. Look around and find the theme that best suits you.
You can upload and download themes, you can also comment on themes, and view information on the themes. Big updates will come in the months to come. Till then, register and share your themes and soon you will be able to do much, much more!

Sharing your themes has never been easier. Now it's as easy as creating your PS3 theme, and uploading it to this website. There is no need to provide us with your information. This will all be extracted from the P3T file, and while we're at it, we will provide our users with a rough preview of how the theme will look on their PS3. It's as simple as that.

Domains hacked

Recently someone decided to hack into my GoDaddy account, and redirect all my domains to his site.

Everything has been fixed now, and I don't know the motives of the person, however, a new stronger password has been set up and hopefully it will keep people out!

Apologies for the inconvenience.

On a side note, I am getting ever close to making the online PS3 theme packer, still struggling, but getting there. So rest assured that I am still working on the site.

I had just noticed that the website has passed the 100 visits mark, so I thought I would update everyone on what is going on.

Before that though, I would like to thank every visitor and every uploader who has used my website, as without you, the website would never grow, and who knows, maybe this website will become the number 1 used PlayStation 3 theme website, for now though, I got a long road ahead of me.

Going on to the development of the site, I haven't really been able to touch it since (according to the local SVN I am running) 18 July, and I am really sad to say that development is on hold.
The reason the development is on hold is due to a new project I am doing with a dear friend of mine, internally called Project Neith. I can't really say much about it just yet, but development on that is going well, and hoping to have the final product launched around the end of October this year, after which, I will be mainly supporting that product, however, PS3 Theme website WILL stay supported, and the latest version will be uploaded (which includes a complete redesign of the website, courtesy of this same person I am working with for Project Neith, you can view his website at here, as well as many fixes that the current site has, e.g. images not showing properly).
On top of Project Neith, I have a resit exam on 19 August, meaning for the next 7 days I will not be working on anything aside from revising for the exam. Next to this, I am also working for a small company called Drench Design for my placement year, and really enjoying it there (aside from the long commuting, guess I'll survive).

Again, I would like to really thank you for support and asking you have a bit of patience while I do my resit exam, and finish Project Neith, and the site will be updated soon after.

Major update

I have just uploaded the latest version of the website that I was working on. The site should now look the same on all resolutions, (unlike the old version, which looked very bad on bigger screens).

The internals have changed quite a bit, I won't bore you with the details, as they are irrelevant, however, I can say I have already added pieces of code for the creation of themes.

The PlayStation®3 Theme file packer is still coming, it requires more work than I thought, and will require even more time due to work I will be starting soon, and on top of that, another project has come my way, which I am hoping to finish by the end of summer (or at least, release a beta). Fear not though, I should get my PlayStation®3 back soon enough, and will at least update the website to make it work on the PlayStation®3 browser.

Note that I have tried to simulate the XMB as good as possible, however, there is so much I can do, if you have suggestions, improvements or anything else, contact me and I'll see what I can do.

I am still alive, and I am still working on this.

I am currently in the process of creating a PlayStation®3 theme packer, which will mean that soon you will be able to upload images, audio and *maybe* dynamic theme backgrounds, and at just the press of a button, you will have a PlayStation®3 theme creator on line accessible anywhere!

If everything goes to plan, you should even be able to save themes on line, and finish them at a later time on the same computer or even on a different computer.

On top of that, someone has borrowed my own PlayStation®3, and as soon as I get it back, I will be working on getting the theme preview to work on the PlayStation®3 browser.

Some updates to the site

After some hassle, I fixed some errors on the website, and added a few new small things.
First off all, you may have noticed, at the bottom, there is two new sections; Most commented on, and Most downloaded.
I was also able to update the extractor to extract audio (if it exists) and now also recognises dynamic theme files. While the audio preview will come soon, the dynamic theme files are a bit trickier, so they won't be previewed just yet.
Finally, the theme pages will tell you if the current viewed theme is a dynamic theme, and whether or not it has audio support.
Please note: this info is not backwards compatible.
